I have opened tickets for this in the past, this morning traffic was backed up all the way onto marsh road, at this point this is causing traffic issues and not fixing them.

It is not the morning traffic. It is the afternoon traffic. Scott Drive is backup again currently at 4pm. This signal problem has happened before but fixed. Now it occurred again.

This needs to be addressed ASAP. This was changed last week and only getting worse

The traffic signals for the traffic on Marsh road crossing 101 and the surrounding traffic signals such as the one at the intersection with Scott Dr are not properly synchronized to have traffic move more efficiently given the expected traffic volume on each possible path and time of day. They need to be programmed more intelligently.

Our transportation consultant has already programmed/synchronized the traffic signals on Marsh Road between Bay Road and Bayfront Expressway. But the problem is not with Marsh Road but the congestion at the Dumbarton Bridge where traffic from Willow Road, Marsh Road, and University Avenue converge. So, if traffic is barely moving on Bayfront Expressway, the synchronization of the Marsh Road traffic signals breaks down. Willow Road traffic signals experience similar break downs. I was told that the pedestrian phases on Marsh Road at Bayfront Expressway appear to be going green at every cycle whether there are pedestrians or not. I will have Caltrans check on that signal and fix it since it belongs to them. This could help alleviate the delay on Marsh Road.
