The appropriate officials have been notified about this issue. It might be helpful to the city and to SeeClickFix if others supported this issue and helped to notify public works.
3 months later and still nothing this whole town is nothing but a joke. can't get anything fixed. if not in the mayors pocket forget anything getting fixed
called public works they told me to call comed. called comed two months ago and still nothing. come on people get off your lazy duffs and get this stuff fixed. 6 months of complaining should get something done.
Normally it takes ComEd up to seven days upon receiving a report of a street light being out to have the light replaced.
A street light in the 1600 block of Ashland Avenue has been out for nearly six months.
The city is on a quest to remove as many as 2,300 to 2,400 streets lights in its ongoing street light reduction program, which is geared toward saving the city as much as $500,000. As of Friday, about 1,500 street lights have been identified by the city’s public works department for removal.
However, the Ashland Avenue light is not on the list for removal, ComEd spokesman Paul Callighan said.
Residents can call 1-800-Edison-1 or 1-800-334-7661 or visit www.comed.com to report a street light outage.
If ComEd fails to repair the light in seven days, Callighan said the city is given a credit for rental of the light.
