A simple fix for people coming from Hutchinson onto Mercer might be to slow the traffic a few blocks south of the intersection by extending the 25 mph zone from the bridge south a 1/2 mile. There has always been a problem with people heading north toward the Quaker bridge or coming off the bridge heading south assuming they are in a 45 mph zone passing Hutchinson. That makes it an unnecessarily dangerous intersection.
