Please do something about this eyesore.

This was submitted to our Property Standards Division and while State owned we do not have any jurisdiction. However we have notified the State of corrections which need to be made.

It looks like someone has secured the doors on these houses, and has (possibly) started to tear them down, but not sure. Also, it appears that the vacant lot adjacent to these properties are now being used as a dump for furniture, etc.

Wonderful....we did notify the State of Tennessee, so at least there is progress!

Karene, Thanks for the update. I will go by there tomorrow and see what things are looking like, cleanup-wise, and let you know.

Regarding the vacant lots where illegal dumping is occurring, this is the sole jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Health Departmetn - 340-5644.

Two of these three houses are now open to the elements again.

Mark...as stated before, Codes has no jurisdiction over these State owned properties. I wish that we could be of more assistance, but we are not able to do so. The State is aware of the condition of each of these properties. There is a demolition application permit on file for 803. 805 and 807 presently do not have any demo permits, so they may rehab these proeprties....however, we cannot issue notice to board/secure. Hope that you understand.

These houses have been demolished by the State, and the property is now being cleaned of all debris. Thanks to everyone concerned with this manner.
