Description

The addition of the no right turn on red at the intersection of Marin Blvd and Observer highway is not working. Its actually made it more dangerous for people to cross Marin. People now speed through the filter light even when its red making it more likely to hit a pedestrian both crossing Marin and Observer. When the right turn was there people were less in a hurry and more patient. As now the traffic is backed up they seem much more willing to speed through the yellow and even the red filter light to make the turn as people are beeping behind them to move. I get why this change was made but its one in theory that should help but has made the situation more dangerous than before. I recommend either shortening the walk time across Observer, adding a camera to catch people going through the red or allow people to turn right on red again.
