Description
A 25 to 30 foot piece of rebar continues to remain on "No Mans Land" at the south east intersection of Ventura & Paseo Del Norte. The rebar started in the center of the field located east of the Walgreen's on Ventura. The City Planning opined that the city had no jurisdiction of the rebar since they could not determine ownership of property. The rebar was then relocated 15 yards to the sidewalk ( thought to be city property) for removal by a city employee and a pickup truck. Planning determined that the long of -106.5422 & Lat. 35.1736 where the rebar was did not belong to the city and therefore was not the responsibility of the city. On 11-16-19 a city worker was contacted at Walgreen's and he advised he would contact the Weed & Litter guys to pick it up. On 11-19-19 the Rebar was found to be relocated to the corner of the Paseo and Ventura corner where it continues to be an eyesore and possible hazard. If someone is assigned the task of removing the rebar, I hope they take the wood post. Thanks. Contact the HEAR Board if you have further questions.
