All areas that are being developed, once completed must replant trees. The city has planted over 1500 trees the past 2 years through out the city through grants to replenish the tree canopy. We will continue this in the upcoming years.

That is not what the tree ordinance states and a twig is not the same as a mature tree. The ordinance states they must save 33% of trees over 1 inch in dia. Many of the trees you planted were under sized and many due to lack of water died, such as the ones you planted along 15 mile. The subdivision along Maple Lane has zero trees. The city enjoys getting that tree city usa flag but does nothing to deserve it. Allowing developers to clear cut is not environmentally responsible, without trees we have no clean air or oxygen to breath.
