Description
Intersection of Walden and Saville: crashes occurring here on a regular basis resulting in SUVs hurtling over the sidewalk posing grave risk to people on foot in this pedestrian-oriented neighborhood. Please withdraw resident parking signs southbound and northbound on Walden Street in order to daylight this intersection thereby improving visibility.

In response to this request and the related policy order from the City Council, the Traffic Department investigated the crash history at this location and reviewed existing conditions in order to determine if the configuration of the intersection is contributing to crashes. The review indicated that most of the recent crashes that have occurred at this intersection were related to driver behavior and that the intersection provides sufficient sight lines for drivers to safely enter Walden Street from Saville Street.
