Are you talking about the volunteers who are there handing out push cards for their candidates? All you have to do is say No Thank you and keep walking. That is part of the political process in this country. If you truly feel harassed tell the precinct judge or one or the clerks who check voters in.

I've experienced this before as well. They would run up to me and say will you take this in support of so-and-so. I would say "no, thank you"; and the person would persist and say this person does "so-and-so; So please vote for this person?"

To be honest, by the time I've made my way to the polling center; I already know whom I want to vote for!

Totally agree that by the time a voter gets there they have made up their minds but it is a tradition just like calling voters which I hate more. The more aggressive card pushers are usually working for losing candidates anyway. The candidates can't be at every location and for a rare minority of voters the cards are the first time they've received any info about a cadidate.
