Description
Oak Street seems to be used as a pass through street. Unfortunately, drivers speed down the hill, sometimes exceeding 40 mph. It makes it very difficult backing out of a driveway. Is there anyway to install speed bumps, to force autos to slow down? Thank you.

The speed of vehicles coming down this hill, and around the curve will only be resolved when someone is injured or killed. Sadly enough.

Thank you for making us aware of this issue. Speed bumps can sometimes be effective, but they can also cause some drivers to speed more, as drivers will try to "make up the lost time" form having to slow down for the speed bump. We would encourage you to submit a request through the City's traffic calming program to address this issue. Through that program, we can work with you, your neighbors, and your Ward Councillor to find the best solution to this problem.
