Description

Excessive traffic down our residential street has caused many dangerous situations, accidents, road corrosion and pot holes for many years.

People use West 8th st. instead of waiting at the lights on 6th st. as a short cut.

Due to this we have many high speed vehicles that have caused:
Excessive road damage.
Multiple car accidents.
Many pets struck and killed by very fast moving vehicles.
Even a child got hit a few years back.
Also a car fire right next to homes.

For all of these reasons I am requesting that the City of Corona add at least one speed bump/dip to West 8th street.

About our neighborhood:

Many young children and pets.

We have 2 churches, one at each end of the block.

Senior living apts, high density residential apts, and a trailer park.

Our street is very narrow.

Only one side of West 8th st. has curbs and sidewalks, which leaves the trailer park vulnerable to speeding vehicles that could crash into homes.

The city just approved additional senior apts to be built on this street as well, so there will be even more traffic in the future.

We are near many schools, children are constantly walking on this street.

Please assist our neighborhood in becoming more safe for our families and our pets. Thank you Corona for taking time to understand this issue.
