I just searched online for an answer. Red means stop and yellow means caution or yield. We all know this. However, there are no examples of traffic that are both. If you want us to stop, then set it to flash red. If you want us to yield, then set it to yellow. Flashing both is (literally) sending us mixed signals.

A contractor hit the light pole across the street during snow removal at the last storm. They are responsible for fixing it. We've reached out to get the status on that and will provide an update. It is not that way by design, so the confusion is understood.

With respect, did you reach out today or did you reach out prior to my information request? It has been at least 24 days since this event occurred. It appears the contractor is not being held fully accountable or a deadline was not set, as necessary. Please prioritize our safety.

I reached out today to get an update from the contractor, but the issue has been known to the city and the contractor and prior communication had taken place before your request. That said, I can't disagree that it's taking too long, and it should have been addressed by now. As soon as I get an update from the contractor, I'll share, and if it's not acceptable, the City will bring in it's own contractor and bill them. They are a contractor who does a lot of work in the city and have generally been very responsible so the City has initially given them the opportunity to fix it independently.

First snow event of December occurred on the 10th. This is when it happened.
