We will investigate this complaint. From experience, I know this intersection to be a problem during the evening commutes heading northbound. Vehicles have a green signal but due to the volume of traffic on Main street, are not able to pull thru the intersection.
While still a violation (blocking an intersection), major improvements have been made to that area to make pedestrian crossings easier. Also, the volume of traffic at this evening commute time is so high that vehicles are not speeding thru this red light. They are either stopped or crawling through the intersection heading north on Main street.
I will update this reporting person after I reevaluate the area in question

The green arrow isn't the problem. It's people who run the red arrow. And it's not people who are stuck in the middle of the intersection, it's people who are approaching the intersection and can CLEARLY see it is a red light and run it anyways. I watched 5 vehicles go through it while I waited to cross yesterday evening around 4:30pm. And it happens every day during the morning commute, as well. It's not an issue of volume of traffic, it's an issue of drivers ignoring the red light completely and taking a left anyways. There either needs to be a change to the way the light is presented and more signs that make it clear that the red arrow means a RED LIGHT, or a police officer needs to be stationed there to give tickets. It's incredibly dangerous for pedestrians crossing, but also incredibly frustrating to watch it happen over and over again and nothing be done about it.

As I already stated, we are going to do something. It might not be to your liking, but we will investigate the complaint and respond with all the resources at our disposal and in accordance with the law.
