Description
Hello, this section of Hardee St at the corner of Flora Ave is a high traffic area. Cars proceed very quickly down these roads and as they do, they hit every pothole/utility cover/bump in the roadway and it shakes the foundations of the homes on either side of the street. (My hanging pictures do not stay straight, and my chandeliers jingle, due to the force of cars passing and hitting the plates/bumps/uneven surfacing of this street.) Because Hardee is a major throughway for emergency services I was told speed bumps are not an option. So...Please repave this area or level out the utility plates that have been installed on the road.

I had someone from the city call me and say that this issue had been resolved. When I informed them nothing had changed, they said they would check with a supervisor. I never heard anything back. There are still utility covers in the middle of the street that are missing and large dips in the asphalt where I'm assuming the city did some sort of work-- and then didn't do a very good job of repaving the road. I will follow up with some photographs of what I'm talking about today, and likely submit another request. I'm paying HIGH taxes for my house, and so I expect a little bit of a return on that from the city.
ALSO: The sidewalks in our neighborhood are incredibly unsafe due to broken/cracked concrete and raised concrete. We have several people in wheelchairs in our community that have to drive in the STREET on busy Hardee and narrow Flora Ave. There are families who do not have the means to fix these sidewalks on their own-- repairs should be the City of Atlanta's responsibility!! If the city can write me a warning ticket for leaving my trashcan on the sidewalk too long-- y'all can't then also tell me that the sidewalks are my responsibility to fix. Lets go ATL. I've never seen sidewalks that are this bad in Los Angeles, or New York, or any other major city that has experienced a population and income boom the same way that Atlanta is currently experiencing.
