Why don't you charge the landlord for Public Works removing this mess?

The debris has been out there for about 5 or 6 days so I doubt they called anyone or care. They also abandoned a car in the back yard that I neglected to mention. The landlord must've put them out. Very rowdy bunch. They are Southern Connecticut University students or at least some of them were.

Landlord still nowhere in sight. Abandoned car in the backyard and furniture still on the sidewalk.

Good morning everyone-

LCI and public works were aware of this pile. I apologize, but the process doesn't always happen over night. I understand it is an eye soar and not the look we are going for. However, the landlord was very upset that this was happening to a house that she lived in for over 10 years. She was very apologetic and hired a contractor ASAP to get rid of this mess. I am in close contact with the owner and will monitor this move out to make sure this doesn't happen again. The pile was being cleaned up as of 8 a.m. this morning.Thank you for your understanding.

There's still an abandoned car in the back yard.

What agency would handle the abandoned car in the backyard. Tenants left that as well.

If it's in the backyard, it's private property, and is the owner's responsibility, not the City's.

Well since someone was in touch with her they should have at least relayed that message to her. Obviously she is unaware.

This issue was recategorized from Illegal Dumping to Private Property Issue.

Car was moved to street and it was eventually towed (not by lazy former tenant).
