This is not a GRU sewer problem. The strong odor is coming from Meyers Septic. The environmental department will be notified.

A Notice of Violation was issued with a compliance request date of December 12, 2019; a request for Extension of Time was granted through March 1, 2020.
The violation cited was Sec. 30-1.8 and the corrective action is: Cease all activity beyond the zoning approval of off site septic tank installation and repairs. Remove the source of the odor which is detectable beyond the property line. Remove all unpermitted facilities and equipment outside of a completely enclosed structure or obtain permits or approval to keep it. Get the electrical upgrade inspected. Contact the Building Department and Planning Department for direction on how to proceed.

The Code Enforcement issues noted DO NOT INCLUDE these leaking tanks at all. It only addresses the smell part of complaints. These two underground tanks were found to be breached and leaking in July and August 2019. Under law they should have been reported within 24 hours of the finding. They were NEVER reported. Now they are shutting down the entire underground system within inspecting for any potential pollution and clean up.
