Description
I live near the corner of Van Vorst and Sussex and frequently drive down Van Vorst. There is currently parking on both side of the street and two-way traffic. There simply isn’t room for 4 cars on Van Vorst. Cars frequently cannot turn onto the street and are forced to back up into traffic, and visibility turning onto the street is very difficult and last night I witnessed a fender bender as a result. The street can support only three cars, so either it should be turned into a one-way street or parking eliminated from one side.

Please advise Councilman's office to contact Fulton's Landing Condominium Association representing 101 unit owners in Paulus Hook as he starts reaching out. Van Vorst St is our only way out of the building due to the traffic pattern in the area.
The traffic issues on this street has always been an issue for us since the building was built in 2005, but it has become even more unbearable since the are got further built in the recent years. The solution may require a wider change to the traffic pattern in this corner of Paulus Hook involving multiple streets for optimization. Thank you...
