I agree. I have been traveling on College through this intersection and have found that the light is unreasonably long.

I understand at certain times of the day but I have driven up to this light with no cars coming in any direction at 10pm and waited almost 2 minutes for it to change.

I agree. This has been ongoing for the past 3 months. When no traffic is coming from downtown, there should be a censor so light will change to allow traffic from College to turn left or proceed straight. When cars backup 10 deep on Georgia Avenue and all cannot get through, and then have to wait 3 or more minutes again, is very frustrating for commuters.

Georgia Av is the through-street, the arterial. The green should, must, stay on it longer.

Obviously, Georgia Avenue is the main artery as is Vineville and Forsyth, but lights on those streets are well-timed. The light in question is not. It keeps cross traffic stalled long after the traffic on Georgia has cleared the intersection.

Make no mistake, those of us who live InTown want the suburban set out of town just as quickly as they want to leave. But after your daily quick visit we all live here and all the lights on College stay red for far far to long when there are literally no more white SUVs going from 0-60 as fast as they can to get to or from the interstate. These lights need working sensors and need to be timed to be quicker up and down College at all other times except for “rush hour”.
