The address listed on this complaint is not the house that is shown in the picture. The addresses of those two houses in the picture are 218 and 220 Garfield Ave. The complainant should have not have identified only 214 Garfield Ave but all addresses along Garfield Ave where trucks, buses, and cars SPEED all day long. Vision Zero practices haven’t deterred the speeding along Garfield Ave. Garfield Ave is designated a high injury road as per Vision Zero. There is a monstrous apartment bldg that will be built on the corner of Pearsall and Garfield Ave in that empty lot that is shown in the picture adding to the population density in the area as well as vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The jersey city planning board should have looked into traffic patterns in this area before they approved this corner bldg. project. We need more than signal, signage and striping maintenance to address this problem.

Please also note that the City submitted an application for the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority's Local Safety Program to request federal funding for design and construction of improvements along the entire Garfield Avenue corridor.

No yellow line. Please provide timeline for restriping.

There was a car accident in this location today. A car speeding down Garfield ripped the door off of a parked car and nearly hit the owner. Still waiting for a response on striping and traffic calming.

This request is on the City's roadway striping maintenance list. Striping work has slowed down during the winter months, but will begin again in the spring, weather permitting.

Speed bumps or rumble strips need to be installed at least 20 feet before every intersection in this area of Garfield where there is not a traffic light , cars DO NOT even stop/yield to pedestrians who are waiting to cross at all crosswalks
