Follow up to SCF# 7242787
Hancock Street sidewalks still remains full of access obstructions due to snow and the way the sidewalks were plowed. Most of this snow is at corners, not in front of businesses. The first complaint response stating that businesses were reminded of the ordinance does NOT resolve the issue when most of these spots are not at businesses.

No city representative is supposed to close on a community access issue without ensuring and obtaining proof that compliance has been actually followed.
Mr. Mayor, are you watching this?

Please be advised that initially the business owner is verbally appraised of their responsibilities under Title 12 of the Town of Braintree General Ordinances, Section 12.04.050, which requires the clearing of snow within 24 hours following the end of a snow event.
If there is non-compliance by a business owner, then a municipal citation could be issued to compel compliance.
In response to the earlier concerns received relative to the condition of the sidewalks in question regarding snow removal, a follow up inspection was conducted today and portions of the sidewalk and curb ramps utilized for path of travel were found to be clear and unobstructed of snow.
