To original poster - may I ask how you were notified? To the city - why is this happening suddenly, rather than part of the 5 year streets plan where care would be given to the persistent flooding issues and non-ADA compliant sidewalks and crossings? Is this part of the Eversource substation project?

To ped100: We certainly may have missed a message but we found out about the work yesterday when eversource put up signs attached to trees. The construction began today

Please please just once could Eversource finish their work when they said they would. Originally posted 1/21-1/25 on signs, now it’s crossed out and says 1/27-1/31. They have taken every single parking spot on Pleasant St between Putnam and Allston on both sides. Maybe the city could mange them to be realistic on their timelines? I’m not sure the resolution. They literally have been working in various forms in this neighborhood since the beginning of November with zero visible benefit to people who live here. It’s frustrating

Probably for after we get through these times....our Cambridgeport neighborhood group would still like to know why our section of city can't have the wires underground like other sections of the city. Could someone explain the rationale to us? Thank you.
