The addition of a left turn lane onto I-16 at North Avenue and Emery Hwy this week must have thrown a kink into timing. I have had to detour and take Second Street to get home from Georgia Avenue and I live off of North Avenue.

Running red lights and blocking traffic at Nottingham and north ave don’t seem like a gdot issue. Get law enforcement presence to keep people from gridlocking traffic. At least until gdot will do something about the highway entrance and light situation. Stop closing these requests and saying Macon can’t do anything. There are things you can do to help.

The intersections on Gray Highway are part of the I-16/I-75 project. They are the contractors responsibility. We have reached out to GDOT and the contractor. They are working on a solution to remedy some of the ongoing issues affecting traffic in this area. Your complaints should be directed to GDOT area office at 478- 757-2601.
