Even if it was fully lit, it wouldn’t make the drivers going 35 down Main Street stop. It’s a nightly struggle crossing main and George with a yellow blinking light. At least 2 cars fly past me before someone stops and then I have to worry about the other side someone stopping

I agree with Garber comments. Main St and George St is an incredibly dangerous intersection for pedestrians. I don't even try the Main/Hancock pedestrian crossing. I've had issues in seeclickfix for over a year and the Police Traffic Unit just closes them with no action. When is the City going to take action to improve its streets for pedestrians? Medford is a traffic sewer and it's not getting any better. Other nearby cities, liked Malden, Everett and Sommerville, are doing a much better job with pedestrian and bicyclist improvements. Our property taxes keep getting more and more expensive, and we see nothing in return.

I also had opened a request for the same issue about a year ago. To much disappointment, I saw that all the incidents opened about this crosswalk were recently closed. It'd be really great if the lines could be repainted.

I agree with comments, someone is going to get killed at these intersections. I have opened similar requests, only to have them closed with no action. Unfortunately Medford residents that choose to walk are treated as second class citizens. Try walking from George street to Medford square without getting run over. Pathetic.
