I use my own bags in this story every day.

Me, too. You're required to leave your bags (carrier bag, backpack, etc.) At the front, but they have baskets and trolleys for customer use, so you pay and then transfer your stuff to your own bag. I carry a couple of small ones in my pocketbook and pull one out after paying if I'm just buying fruit or something small like that.

Sign does not state they cannot use their own bags. it states they need to use a cart or hand basket to shop and not place items in their bags while shopping
