People use the Vista del Norte area as their own personal Indianapolis 500. When you're going the posted 30 mph speed limit (should be 25 mph with speed bumps), you are tailgated and on Los Lomitas, passed in oncoming traffic. While trying to pull out at the corner of Los Lomitas and Calle Carino, people speeding will come up on you before you can see them (4 accidents already)-- very unsafe. Not only do they drive way to fast, heavy equipment trucks, semi trucks, PNM trucks cut through the neighborhood all the time even though there's a posted weight limit for the area. Sure wish the city would do something about this. It's miserable for those that live off these two streets.

The issues with the VdN area shouldn't be removed until something is done. People need to see the comments and add their own concerns to it. Removing it appears that there's nothing wrong with this area.

Yes I agree I have to count my blessings pulling out of Calle Carino into Las Lomitas. Than your on Vista Del Norte and people tailgate you if you go the speed limit!! I AGREE something has too be done about this. Traffic on Las Lomitas is out of control, why has there not been any speed traps on that street?
Why has the association of Vista Del Norte NOT done ANYTHING?
What I seem to realize is that maybe getting the media's attention out here will get the ball moving!!!

Nothing appears to have been handled with this situation. The neighborhood is starting to look like the cross street Chappel -- large equipment semi trucks, gravel trucks, even double-decker semi trucks with new cars are coming down the street. Endless speeders.... When is the city or lousy association going to get this resolved???????

Nothing has changed with Los Lomitas/Vista del Norte area. The people that drive through here far exceed the 30 mph speed limit -- and that includes the cops. There are now kids waiting on the corners to catch the school bus and it's amazing someone hasn't been hit yet. It shouldn't be a cut-through area....it was suppose to be a neighborhood.
