This is great ,heat and hot water . its true you don't know what you have..... As it seems so simple, to have warmth in the winter ,yet it took 2yrs and this site to get the right people and solve this issue. THANK YOU all . One of the windows, on the 3rd fl. was fixed. Milbank Real Estate borrowed money, bought thes building,1535 Taylor av.,took the tenants rents, sent to california, and turned this building into a dump. This is where I live and where children play, and there are apts where the entire apt was stripped and a board put in front. other apts where no one lives so they strip that down and use it for garbage . these halls are so dirty that the sidewalk is cleaner. there is a board over one of the windows. This is a shame there is a city playground across, the street, and a public school, PS102, on that same block. If the adults around these children don't care ,how can those children know the difference. It is a bad thing to get cought up in a building with a BAD LANDLORD

The heat and hot water were restored in your building thanks to the persistent and dedicated efforts of HPD and City Council member Annabel Palma and her excellent staff, especially Jeffrey Laufer.

this issue has been corrected and this landlord has no part of this building. it maks me very glad to know there are decient people who care enough to have this type of fourm so that the elected officials can get a first hand look at the problems in a city . i want to thank the entire teem that has helped in the problems at 535 Taylor ave. we now have heat ,hot water and the halls are being cleaned . there is still much to do but this is a great beginning. thanks again
