Harp signs all along West Park Avenue on the park side of the road on public land. This is illegal. Will PW remove them? Can citizens remove them?

If you just pull them up and leave them in place, is that legal?
If PW isn't doing it's job, we should be able to do so.

One of Toni Harp's personal attorneys is Timothy Yolen. He is the commissioner of LCI. That is how she controls some of her corrupt power in New Haven. that is why LCI turns a blind eye and says nothing.
LCI does not enforce law, does not clean the streets, does not empty garbage cans. These inspectors are supposed to take care of quality of life issues, and illegal stuff, like this issue. It is wrong. Corruption is sad.
Call Attorney Timothy Yolen, his office in downtown New Haven at 700 state street. He did personal closings for Toni Harp in 2011. Tell him that as Commissioner for LCI, he needs to avoid looking improper, and make LCI do their job.

Parks and DPW have removed the signs from the primary. If you notice any that we missed, or new ones for the general, please open as a new issue so we can respond (use "Public Space, Streets and Drains" for ones in the tree belt, and "Parks Issue" for ones in a park if you can). All signs removed are held at DPW or Parks headquarters for a period in case the campaigns want to pick them up.
As a general rule, city agencies do not remove signs the day before an election or election day (and since election days are on a Tuesday, that means we usually don't get them from the weekend before). Most campaigns put signs in the rights-of-way right before election day, and since it takes us more than one day to remove all the signs that get put out, we could not ensure we are being fair as we start to remove them. Between now and Nov 4th, however, let us know on SCF and we'll try to remove improperly placed signs.
@new haven archer - LCI does not have responsibility for removing signs. DPW and Parks do, which are both departments I oversee (I do not oversee LCI). "Corruption" is a loaded term to be throwing around, but you should at least direct your accusations at me.
