What do you suggest they do?

With yet another wave of thefts this week from cars around the complex it is long overdue that something be done. Whether that means increased patrols or enforcement of youth curfews or something else, some type of action is needed before the boiling point is reached.

I guess they should tear their homes down and throw them in the street. thanks (hitler) disgusted.

The issue is so much bigger than this..ppl are so blind. Frank i agree with you you cant just destroy they entire Rolling hills b/c there is crime. THere is crime EVERYWHERE. I know some of the kids that live in there, good kids, moms working 3 jobs to make it b/c dads are deadbeats and not paying support. And fed up neighbors are you assuming that the thefts are being done by ppl from The HIlls? or is this a fact? Because if you are assuming than you are stating that all people on section 8 are theives. SMH shallow..probably a republican too..haha

The kids and adults that come from that complex deliberately throw trash all over the adjoining park. The new playground hardware that was installed was meant to benefit everyone in the area. Instead you end up not feeling safe enough that most parents (with their children) avoid that area. The teens that hang out there can be menacing, and are always unsupervised. Where are their parents?

I loved living in the Rolling Hills complex back in 1980. You act like this is something new. Where have you been. It is a great community. I used to pay $108 per month but it was all electric including heat so winter was expensive. I love section 8, love my food stamps, rent rebate program, liheap, and my SSD payments. I miss my old life in Rolling Hills....

I think this original post is misleading. There are many sports teams that play on that field, and that is where the trash comes from, but it's kept pretty clean considering how many soccer teams play here. The playground is brand new, and still looks brand new. It's very safe. The police station is right across the street and in view! As for crime, you'll find very little crime in the surrounding area. The only reason people notice it is because it's so rare to have anything happen. And when it does, it becomes center stage news. Unlike Philly where you have shootings every day and no one cares. Someone gets charged on a DUI in the area, and it's headline news.
