Needs wider turning lane (west) onto 28th street from central ave. Take out the median (?)
Traffic management along with improper / inadequate snow removal is a huge problem in the city.
This is one of many intersections that needs to be dealt with....
Snow removal MUST be done for ALL the marked lanes of traffic that are supposed to exist.
Many places that have 2 or 3 lanes of traffic do not function as they were intended.
If you don't believe me, drive around and look where there should be 2 or 3 lanes (the 3rd being the highly unattended turning lanes)

Time flies, even when you are waiting for an "issue to be fixed"!! Can't believe it's been 7 years since I first posted the 'issue'. And, it still hasn't been fixed. I will admit I was hopeful when, some time ago, the city began work on this intersection and I watched, almost holding my breath (although I'm so glad I didn't) as they demolished the concrete medians in the entire intersection and began resurfacing the roadway.
Then, to my horror, they began rebulding the forms and pouring the concrete for new medians - all that unecessary waste of concrete, and money.
Couldn't we just keep this simple and install lights with left-turn arrows?
If you MUST keep the medians then fine, but put in lights.
Or, my personal favourite and most inexpensive and efficient way to move traffic: install a traffic circle!!
This place is truly an accident waiting to happen.
Sorry, this issue does not have any images or videos.
