There is a crossing guard at Ridley Ave, and still don't help with the kids littering all over the street. no respect for anyone but themselves

Hello people are you nuts this has been going on for years and sorry but no rb when the high school kids get out there is no crossing guard. Anonymous you also fail to say that your local police department follow these kids up the two streets (Kenney and Ridley ave) you also are quick to blame the Collingdale kids. Just so you know the kids walking home are from Collingdale and your own town Sharon Hill. I will say it could be better but everything in life can be better and nothing is ever perfect.

AP mom, it goes on because we allow it, and because partents don't teach their children to respect others or how to use a sidewalk. I live on Kenney and I see the kids walking to and from school, and about 85% of them cross the rail road tracks to Collingdale. As for the Police department following them, they haven't done that in almost a year, the police are no were around in the morning and afternoon. It is not only about the kids being disruptive, it is also about their safity cars race well over the speed limit at the streets where the kids cross.

Kenny, You are wrong the cops have been there maybe you need to pay more attention or maybe you are just missing it. None of the kids should be crossing the railroad tracks and they do as a person who was raised here and decided to raise my kids here. I feel i need to clarify myself first off it is not fair to put the blame all on the Collingdale kids even if your number is correct at 85% we are still talking 15% of Sharon Hill kids and we all know that number is not right in the first place. Second it still dont explain why no crossing guard for these kids but here i go again playing both sides maybe if our school district gave us all the route our kids should be taken to make that wonderful decision of who walks and who gets a bus. We could all figure out where a crossing guard needs to be and if the kids even belong on the street. AGAIN A CROSSING GUARD NEEDS TO BE THERE FOR THESE KIDS PERIOD. i also need to say i drive on Kenney and Ridley ave every school day because i drive my child to school and home and you might not see it but the cops are there every day watching these kids and making sure they go home.

@ Anonymous how about you rent a bus and pick up the Collingdale children on Pusey Ave and you can fix this problem. The children from Collingdale have been taking this route to school since the school opened, maybe they should have built it in another town.

The kids, most all of them, walk down the middle of the streets of Collingdale too, Andrews Ave, Sharon Ave and other areas and don't know how to use the sidewalks. Their language is terrible too - F this and F that even the small kids around 9 - 10 yr olds. They don't move when cars come and they curse at you like you are in the wrong for driving down the street. Maybe the police should give them a fine and ticket and then maybe the parents will start raising their kids the right way and tell them to watch the language they use and WALK ON THE SIDEWALK WHERE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO WALK!!!! Respect people!!!
