  Several pedestrians have been hit at this intersection, including two who live in my apartment building. My partner who is blind was nearly hit several years ago,and is now terrified to cross this intersection even though a new crosswalk was lined out recently. Lines on the road have not changed driver behavior. This intersection needs traffic lights and coordinated pedestrian signals.

  I can't go back down to Rose Garden (Registered User)

  I walk across this intersection daily, sometimes a couple times a day, but I do watch to be sure no cars are oncoming. Usually the traffic is polite, but not always, like anywhere else. At night I’ve found it’s unsafe unless wearing white or other reflective gear.

  With out traffic enforcement Oakland has become one of the most dangerous cities to drive in. Its even more dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists.

  Here to reinforce that this intersection needs lights yesterday. Also, further down Oakland and Harrison towards the 580 there need to be full stops (stop signs and crosswalks) at each intersection - this is a residential area, NOT a highway to Piedmont.

  The intersection one block west, at Oakland Ave and Bayo Vista is extremely hazardous as well, for all the same reasons, only there is no stop sign or crosswalk at all. It's a 30mph blind turn. Someone is almost hit on the daily, while attempting to cross the street between the public bus stops.

  Hello in 2021 and this has still not beed addressed. A deeply unsafe intersection!!! Please fix. Neighbors maybe should at least build a roundabout in the middle to deter traffic from speeding through!
