A. Traffic on Crockett moves too fast and is too heavy for the neighborhood. Vehicles parking on Crockett also obscure oncoming traffic on Crockett. This is dangerous for both pedestrians and traffic crossing Crockett at White, which has led to several accidents and near misses. Increased traffic because of Buffalo Bayou Brewery, and anticipated from the new apartment complexes, is contributing to the issue. Heavy (weight and volume) traffic should be diverted around the First Ward on to Taylor/Sawyer, Washington Ave., Houston Ave., and I-10, and not permitted to cut through the neighborhood on Crockett, causing problems on White, Silver, and other cross streets.
