Staff did adjust the timing of the side street during the Cecil Ashburn Closure. however since the roadway is open again we have taken the timings back to their original values. Timing will not be increased for drivers on the minor side street that would create more delay for main street drivers.

We're talking another 5-10 seconds here to let everyone out. When that picture was taken there weren't 10 people lined up on 431 in either direction. can there not be a timing based on the time of the day? This only needs to be the case for an hour or so in the morning.

Thank you for that added comment. Our position still remains the same given the amount of traffic on the main street which is US 431. Our goal is to move as much traffic as possible to serve the residents as best as we can. We understand that only a "few more seconds" seems to be a simple fix, however those 5-10 seconds every cycle for an hour adds up to considerable more delay for an already congested main line. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes or stagger their commute time so they can determine the best path to their destination.
