There is no bus lane sign on this street.

There is a Bus Stop Sign..

and the buses use this stop to time their routes...

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

There are plenty of bus stops without a bus lane. For example, Saint Mary's Street. Parking is allowed along the curb and it makes people have to walk out into the street because they are hidden behind the stop. It also prevents wheelchair access, but that is how it is, there were even SCF issues on this and the city closed saying it was no issue.

The Buses use this stop to time the routes..They need access to the lane..Parking causes an issue with the street,as well..This ends up being a one lane road...Someone needs to address this issue.

Waste of time. That entire block from Sadlacks to to the Belltower Mart is about to be torn down anyways for a new luxury hotel.

I knew Sadlacks was a goner, but the entire block? Is ANYTHING going to be left standing in Raleigh that predates the year 2000? One man's old and funky is another man's opportunity for a parking garage!

I can promise you the slum houses on Maiden Lane are as good as gone too, Do you think a luxury hotel is going to share a block with those places? lol. It's all going to be gone soon and food riddance.

The referenced area is a bus stop, and not a bus lane or zone, so parking is allowed at this location. It’s not feasible to have no parking at every bus stop, and bus zones are usually installed at stops with a higher ridership, or in areas where affected property and business owners aren’t heavily relying on on-street parking. Staff will review the ridership on this route and check to see if a no parking area can be recommended at the second stop on Enterprise Street.

You know, RiffRaff are people too. I'm lucky I moved to Raleigh waaaaay back when you could find something affordable in a safe neighborhood. I suppose that's one of the many growing pains, eh?

Maiden lane is all Frat Houses..The University Owns it all..!!
