Description

High speeds, completely reckless joy riding continues and has continued (sporadically) for weeks now. 3 young adult riders out at 7:30PM tonight, 9-18-13, barely visible in the night time hours to drivers and pedestrians.

Also, one kid riding tonight has been riding his red and white dirt bike for weeks now with zero consequence to him despite my suspicion that it is known to many who he is and where he lives. A likely message he is getting from inaction is that he is above the law; not a good lesson to learn at any age.

Two weekends ago, there were about 6 of them speeding through Downing Ave. Last night, they were speeding thru Lexington Ave. at around 10pm. (don't know how many ~ I was in bed & didn't get up to look).

You have seriously got to be kidding, when they run into your car and drive away with no insurance to help your bill, or run over your child, or spit on another priest while he drives his car maybe then you'll view them differently? Why can't they go to a dirt bike park where those things are supposed to be driven?

At least one dirtbiker was going up and down Downing Street at approximately 8:00 p.m. last night. I didn't get a look at them, but really wish this would be addressed and he would get fined. Enough is enough, and this has been going on for years. I agree wholeheartedly with Gilly18.

Please post any and all details that you can--location, day, time, number of riders, description of riders & bikes (are there any noticeable features on the bikes? tattoos, etc on the riders?). If you know where the bikes are housed, that's also a huge help. Thanks!

So, pretty clear that a group of dirtbikers have become active in Chatham Square/Fair Haven Heights over the past 2 weeks. They are trying to avoid being documented by NHPD ("operation bikelife") by riding at dusk. Keep on reporting (clickfix and police line) and the message will get through.
