Description

Hundreds of pedestrians cross this intersection every day, yet there are no cross-lights, let alone signage alerting drivers to the presence of so many pedestrians. For some reason, cars blow through this area on both Chapel and Park Streets at speeds that you would expect on a much wider road, creating extreme danger. An in-road "Watch for pedestrians" along with a raised cross-walk would likely slow drivers down and make pedestrian crossings safer.
