This contractor continues to use this leaf blower from 12AM-3AM EVERY NIGHT in BJ's Wholesale area of the shopping center. Completely unacceptable and detrimental to the health of the residents due to persistent noise disturbances. If the town won't do anything, I'll do my best to build a collective legal action against the contractor, any companies using their services, and if necessary, the township. Please do something!

Carlos, I have my share of videos too. I’ve contacted the city, reported to Kearny PD, nothing is done about this. Kearny noise ordinance clearly prohibits this.

M. V. I. - thank you for that, and raising the issue here! Please keep those recordings and record more if you have the chance. I'll give this some time to be addressed. If it isn't I'll canvas the area for anyone interested in working together toward taking legal action.

Please also walk or drive to the site, call police to file a formal complaint (in paper, and keep a copy). I'll be doing this moving forward, along with video, before contacting an attorney. I'll post an update later this week with anything I learn regarding which companies are using this contractor's services. It'll be helpful to forward all complaints to the contractor and contractee so they're aware things are escalating.

I live across the street from shop rite, I can see and hear and record it from my balcony. I sent a formal letter to shop rite and spoke them in person about their contractor being in violation of the town noise ordinance. I’m going to escalate through my property’s management company and get some corporate leverage Behind this.

Levin Management company is the property management company responsible for Kearny Square. Cheryl Bennett is the property manager. She's polite and has stated she will reach out to the contractor (North Jersey Maintenance) to stop using the blower after hours. If it continues, you can reach her directly at 800-488-0768 ext #286. I suspect she'll take the appropriate action and this will stop, but if not just keep documenting things. I'm also attempting to reach the Kearny Health Department to discuss what ordinances they may be in violation of so that I can speak intelligently to the matter when I file formal complaints with the police.

Did file a police report though, so I'll be calling Mrs Bennett again, and the Kearny Municipal Court for next steps and to see what can be done about issuing a fine or summons. May need to circulate a petition around the neighborhood as well. Fun times. Ugh.

Back again with midnight ordinance violations. Lieutenant Reed, being the huge pile of excrement that he is, initially gave me an attitude and said there's nothing wrong with it they've been doing it for 20 years. That's a lie, for one. And he changed his tune when I asked if his family and neighbors would appreciate me heading over and behaving in kind. It's no wonder people want to defund police. You're incompetent, unjust, dirty and arrogant. Can't even enforce noise ordinances, it's no wonder people like you resort to brutality. You'll be named in court, you dbag. And Cheryl Bennett is an incompetent property manager. Hire quality help, and if they're so lazy tell them to invest a few bucks into an electric blower with a fraction of the decibel level. I got the same reply when I complained to KPD. “Hah, yea sure I’ll send a patrol over right away.” 20 years ago when they started, this was industry: plastics and steel manufacturing, now its significantly more residential. It’s typical do as I say not as I do BS.
