Hello,
I am wondering if you can refer me to the department I would need to speak to about planting on the land between the sidewalk and street. I understand the guidelines to not block the street view as cars drive by. But I am wondering if there are further restrictions. I am also wondering if there is any funding for planting a rain garden to allow the water to drain off the sidewalk. In the winter, the sidewalk is an ice skating rink. Thanks, Vivian Esparza

On the tree question, I would consider contacting the City Arborist:

Hello,
Any alteration to the city greenbelt should come from the direction of the Department of Public Works. Further evaluation would be needed to confirm the addition of drainage in this area would be sufficient.
Once DPW resumes full operations, a site visit will occur to check conditions.
Thanks.
