Stop signs at T intersections are usually not necessary, as drivers have to stop before turning onto the main street. If cars are parked within 20 feet of the intersection, they can be ticketed by the police. I will notify the police to keep an eye on this location.

Accident records from the Lowell Police indicate there have been just 4 accidents over the past 6 years at this location. A Stop sign is not warranted based on accident history unless there are 3 accidents in a year or 5 accidents over 2 years.
I will also ask the DPW to clear back the overgrowth at this location.

But they don't stop. They go flying around that corner. And you have no record of how many hit and runs there have been because one car swerves to avoid another....I almost got hit by a car that did not stop at the intersection the other day. Post a cruiser in the area and see how many people don't even stop. Just because the RMV rule book says you have to stop, doesn't mean they do...it is a dangerous intersection, especially in the dark and especially since it is a blind corner on both sides, when people come around the corner from Manufacturer's onto Angle Street, they take the turn wide, and if a car coming the other way doesn't stop, it is a disaster waiting to happen. I am asking for a stop sign, not a traffic light.

And OH by the way, Short and Lincoln is a T intersection, and there is a stop sign there...at the top of the hill....

We can put a Stop sign in but it wont stop traffic from taking the turn wide or running the stop sign.

Maybe if you put a stop sign and post a traffic detail for a day or so...that will at least slow people down...myself and my neighbors appreciate that...we have been dealing with this for a very long time..
