I also live nearby and agree that this horn has become a disturbance. It goes off at 7am every weekday and continues all day long. It has also started going off before 7am each of the past three Saturdays, as early as 4:30am.

City of Alpharetta police officers have made multiple visits to this location and have confirmed that no sound being generated violates the City's noise ordinance. Further, visual inspection of the site and conversations with site personnel indicate that no changes have been made to the operations or equipment on the site in several years.

With no violation of City codes or ordinances occurring, there is nothing on which the City has authority to act. As such, this issue item is being closed.

Would it be possible for an officer to sit near the Amphitheater and listen for the sound instead of going to the site? I’m a little surprised that there is no violation because the horn can be heard inside a house with closed windows and doors and is loud enough to wake people. Also the horn goes off at 4-6am on Saturdays which is a violation of the city noise ordinance.

The City Noise Ordinance has defined processes and procedures on measuring for a violation. We must follow the procedures and we have.

Okay that is good to know, thank you. Can you recommend how we should proceed? There is an obvious disturbance as shown by the number of posts on here but each time an officer visits the site there is no violation. Can we provide video recordings of the noise and decibel levels from our balcony?
