At approximately 4517 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, GA, 30342 in the right southbound lane (in front of Einstein Bros. Bagels) there is a significant road hazard. A water main valve cover is missing where there had been prior excavation and repair. On SAT 04/04/20 at approximately 8:35 PM ET I was driving southbound at the speed limit when my vehicle ran over this spot. Due to the missing water main cover my right front tire hit the metal lip of the water main valve pipe. The impact ripped a hole in my tire and damaged the rim. This problem must be fixed ASAP to ensure the safety of other motorists and to prevent future vehicle damage. As this is SR9 I believe I need to file a claim with GDOT.
