Description

Non-essential construction out of compliance with Alameda County Order No. 20-04

Violation of or failure to comply with this Order is a
misdemeanor punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both. (California Health and Safety
Code § 120295, et seq.; Cal. Penal Code §§ 69, 148(a)(1))

Construction workers at this site on Hollis Street are continuing to eschew local laws and current social-distancing guidelines by proceeding with this non-essential construction project.

The workers are exposing themselves and the public to unnecessary risk by not meeting multiple recommendations and current orders, including but not limited to:
- continuing on with a non-essential construction project
- workers gathering in groups larger than ten on a daily basis
- workers are continuously "huddling" throughout the day, where > 10 people are all within 6' of each other
- no face masks are being worn (except when they were re-tarring the street surface below)
