They have been there for quite a while. The owner is in the process of having the trailers and the tires removed. he has contracted with a salvage company to remove the scrap metal, tires and debris. We should see some movement on this by the end of the week of October 5, 2009.
I am in regular contact with the owner and cotractor for this property. We are at the end of a massave clean up effort here. The owner's father operated ajunk yard there for many years (before the 1950's) and when he died the son began the clean up effort. More than 600 junk cars were taken out by the contractor. The piles of tires are all that remain. The trailers belong to the contractor. He intends on loading the tires in and hauling them away. He had some medical issues and intends to pull the tires out early spring.
Wow, 600 cars. That must have been a long process. Thanks Mr. Ford for your continued attention to this location. Sounds like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hello,
Any idea how long they've been there?
