OK, so now that you have the pole number, try reporting the issue to the town directly at its Web site... Here's a link:

Give them the number.

The link leads to a form for you to fill out and there is information available at various points in the form that the town has provided. It might answer some questions. Either way, filing a report there creates a record of your issue in the town's database and stuff is referred to appropriate people.

Give that a try first and hopefully you'll get referred to the public works department, which should be able to answer your question.

You can also try calling CP&P about this at 860-947-2000, and hit "1" at the menu for "power outages and street light" issues.
