Description
Argos will never cover the dump trucks coming onto Depot Ave. I have had my car pelleted by rocks so many times I can't count and have a ding in my windshield. But they dump so much dirt and rocks onto Depot Ave the bike lane is totally dangerous. It is a few inches deep with sand and catches your tire. Every day they dump rocks and sand and dirt on the road. Please street sweep regularly and enforce them to cover loads.

Thank you for reporting the concern. ACEPD staff investigated the site on 4/28 and the City of Gainesville Public Works Department has been informed as well.
ACEPD staff confirmed that trucks are tracking sediment and rock from the Florida Concrete Recycling Facility. Staff engaged the facility operators and have required that the rock and sediment be removed from Depot Ave. Washing or flushing the sediment and rock into the stormwater system is not permitted. ACEPD staff are continuing to follow up on site to ensure clean-up has been completed.
If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact ACEPD at 352-264-6861 or feddleton@alachuacounty.us
