This alarm has been going off since early Saturday morning 5/2. The alarm is on the post graduate dorm building on broad street. First nice weekend of 2020 and residents just want to leave our windows open for fresh air and we can’t because of this constant buzzing of alarm bells. UB - your students may be off campus , but life continues in the south end. Show some respect for the south end community and the people that live here year round. UB should be maintaining their property and buildings regardless of whether students are present. Deal with this alarm and allow us some peace on Sunday !!!!

UB is not being a good neighbor lately — telling people to not walk on their sidewalks and now this! Come on UB!!

How hard is it to turn off the security alarm in this building?

What other avenues of complaint have been used to get the attention of University Staff? I'm guessing they don't necessarily read this small forum so I'd think a more official complaint is in order here.

Thank you for reporting the issue to the City of Bridgeport. We reached out to the University of Bridgeport - Security Office and was told that they were not aware of the alarm going off at the specified dorm. The following number was given (203-576-4911) to report such occurrence(s) should it happen again.

Yes, Mayor’s Office Official 3 - if you “reached out” to UB security only on May 11, they may have have been “not aware” of the alarm going off more than a week earlier! Thanks for nothing!
