I called the Fire Marshall and he sent a truck right away who caution-taped off the area. Also will report to PECO --Faulty underground power feef. Building under construction --no permits posted.

Comments: Electrical Shock coming from sidewalk --Dogs and People getting Zapped.Street Light Broken. Numerous reports of Dogs and People getting zapped! This has been reported to 311, 911, the Fire department, and PECO and the problem persists!

This afternoon PECO and the media were out and could not duplicate the conditions.
THE CAUTION TAPE HAS BEEN REMOVED
Reports of shocks from as long as two years ago suggests:
The 2409 South Street's basement electrical connection should be promptly inspected by L&I.
2409 South Street --No Building Permits Posted.

AND if the problem cannot be found in the basement connection --PECO should dig until they find the problem underground. :(

AS A MATTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY:
REPORTS OF SHOCKS COMING FROM STREETS
MUST IN FUTURE BE TAKEN MUCH MUCH MORE SERIOUSLY.

PECO's claim of low voltage implying minimal danger suspect.
