The West Chester Borough has once again chosen not to take snow storms seriously. Sharpless Street, Church Street, Matlack Street, all of these streets were not plowed, or plowed so poorly that there is still snow all over the ground. The traffic is not an excuse - look at West Chester Pike.

I find it odd that Church / University Ave, and Sharpless were the WORST streets in the Boro. Sharpless had 6" of slush on it for 2 days.
I'm not sure if this is the Boro's way of flipping off the University after their purchase of more property in town (and taking away tax revenue).
Anyway - You get another chance this week... don't blow it!

While I do agree that all the knuckleheads leaving their cars on the street is a MASSIVE HINDERANCE, I still find it not to be an acceptable excuse when many other towns in the snow belt that are similar to West Chester can be plowed clean. It seems to be almost like the borough's plows are too high up and they are too lazy to readjust them!!

Let me add that it's a transparent money-grab and a total misuse of power for borough garages to charge for parking during large winter storms.
Fifteen inches of snow is more than enough to close schools & borough offices, and is almost 4 times the amount necessary to trigger snow-emergency routes. But, when lost parking revenue is involved (not to mention the increased ease of plowing streets and street parking spots) the borough flips the bird at West Chester residents.
West Chester must the the #1 parking-fee-based economy in the U.S.
