Apparently, someone in authority noticed that the flooding poses a danger because, with recent rainfall flooding it again, crews were out there placing barricades and cones around the pond so that oncoming traffic would notice and avoid it BUT....the problem still exists and there has been NO activity other than to remove the cones when the rain stopped. With more rain in the forecast, there will be MORE flooding, so do yourselves a favor and avoid this intersection in bad weather altogether.

Worse than ever, the lake that forms when it rains has become bigger and bigger. Once again, the response is to park a utilities truck before the water and put up a sign warning people that there's a flood. There's a flood? NO KIDDING! There is ALWAYS a flood there.
When, when, WHEN is this going to be fixed? It's not just annoying, it's DANGEROUS.

10 months later and winter hard upon us. The depression and broken roadway are worse and NOTHING has changed. Until a car falls in a sinkhole there, nothing will change, apparently. This corner has been like this for YEARS so what can the traveler expect from the PTB???
A word to the wise: when temps drop, avoid this area.

So...a year later NOTHING has been done to fix the broken, sunken pavement at Arthur Street and Route 18 North. NOTHING.

Tell me again what the purpose of this website is? And how effective it is in helping to resolve problems?
EB Public Works, according to the notices, has been told about the problem. I imagine that they couldn't care less.

So, travelers, reroute your morning commute and avoid this area when the temps are low because you'll be skidding onto 18 N during rush hour.

This is a waste of time. Nothing has changed. NOTHING. Avoid this corner in wet/icy weather. Period.

Years later, absolutely nothing has been done to fix this problem. No one cares. It's a waste of time to continue to "alert" those who don't/won't/can/t care or do anything about it.
