Description
I'm not sure how to categorize this but weekly to monthly the Tampa Bay Times flyer "yes" ads throughout Disston Heights neighborhood. I've written to them on numerous occasions without results. You can see from the photo the flyers end up all over the roads and boulevards (circled some in red as example), they are an ongoing litter issue and eyesore as no one picks them up. They blow into stormwater drains and end up in the ditch (ultimately bay). They are each bagged in a single use plastic bag, so if they are picked up they go into the trash and the paper isn't even recycled. But mostly they end up rotting on streets and entering the waterways. Who is held accountable for this ongoing litter and the resulting environmental consequences?
